Season 6
This season was horribly weak. The missing person stories were less interesting, and our main characters’ lives took center stage more than ever before, which turned out to be not at all fun to watch (okay, Jack and Sam took center stage, and the rest of the team became wallpaper with an occasional line). The writer’s strike certainly contributed greatly - shortened season, so the writers couldn’t do what they set out to do when the season started - but the episodes were already below expectations before the strike. After the strike, I would consider it a disastrous season. The storyline with Jack was absolutely dreadful. If I’d been a casual viewer, I would have stopped watching.
